YMCA Sierra Expedition Fall Campout - 2008

Friday, October 10 - Sunday, October 12

The fall campout will be held at the San Francisco YMCA's Jones Gulch facility. This is cabin-camping, not tent camping. The YMCA staff will provide breakfast and lunch, but Saturday dinner will be prepared by our noble Expedition Cook. Circles do have responsibilities for supporting the activities, meal setup/cleanup, and assistance in preparing and serving the Saturday dinner.

Special Reminders:

Friday night arrivals do require advance notice.  Make sure to inform your circle Navigator if you plan on being at the campout on Friday night. (Navigators should pass this information along to the  Expedition Compass Bearer.)

A completed liability release form  is required for each child.  Circle Navigators also have the form; return it to your Navigator before the campout.

You may want to print a copy of the campout event schedule and bring it with you.

Stuff to Bring:

• A flashlight
• Your pumpkin - for the pumpkin carving contest
• Cleaning it ahead of time saves time and mess
  
• Bring carving tools if you have them.
• Bring some kind of covering or smock, if you're messy
• Sleeping bag & pillow
• Your vest, hat, staff, circle banner, drum, and any other circle or nation symbols.
