Event - Kite Fly
The
Shasta and Tahoe Circles invite you and your family to join us for an
afternoon of Kite Flying and Greek delicacies at Sunnyvale
Baylands Park from 2:00 to 5:00 PM on Sunday, May 2nd.
We'll be located at the sites Bay Breeze 1 and Bay Breeze 2.
Sunnyvale
Baylands Park is located in northern Sunnyvale at the southernmost edge
of San Francisco Bay, a venue known for its breezy conditions.
The
Park borders natural grassland and wetlands and includes large open
areas and trails, great for an afternoon of fun. We'll fly kites all
afternoon and award each princess a participation prize at the end of
afternoon.
The
Tahoe's Mike Ioannou will serve BBQ souvlaki on a stick or in pita
bread with white garlic cucumber sauce on the side. Be advised to
eat
a light lunch before heading over to the Park. We'll also have
hot
dogs, potato salad, fruit salad and drinks.
Parking
at Baylands Park is limited so we encourage tribes to carpool to the
event. Print out this Parking
Pass
and present it at the Park entrance for pre-paid parking. If you
do
not bring a Parking Pass, you will be charged $4.00 at the Park
entrance. Also please note that in order to protect wildlife,
pets and
balloons are not allowed at the Park.
Remember
to bring your vests and we'll see you at the Park!
Directions
and a map to the Park can be found at:
Further
information about the Park is available on the Park's main web site at:
