YMCA Sleepover

Here's some information we assembled from the previous (2003) sleepover event.

Miscellaneous Information:

Costs for staging the event were prizes/materials ~$100, lifeguards, coffee, total $300 for 100 attendees. YMCA was able to acquire day-old bagels for breakfast for free.
Snoring was a factor. Attendees might want to bring earplugs.
Activities for the girls included swimming and a treasure hunt. Ivor used "Goodnight Moon" as a bedtime story at lights out, presented very effectively using posters.
There was sufficient room in the pool for anyone who wanted to swim.
Outside lights were too bright for sleeping. Determine if they can be turned off.
Suggestion: assign circles to rooms/areas to avoid an unorganized free-for-all
As girls get out of the pool and shower, help is needed in the girls locker room. Some women assistants should be recruited.

Sent to the Navigators before the Treasure Hunt of 2003:

Oh Great Navigators,

You must be present at the sleepover or nominate an Acting circle Navigator to take your place.

You have an awesome responsibility.

The Princesses will initially gather in the Great Hall and will then set out on a Treasure Hunt. You must count the number of Princesses present in your Circle.

The Princesses will set off following a series of clues

When the Princesses leave the Great Hall, Dave Goldberg, Mighty Navigator of the Astonishing Paradise Circle will give you a "Treasure" for each Princess present in your Circle.

The Princesses' trail will inevitably lead them back to the Great Hall ( OK, it's an exercise room) again, looking for you.

The Princesses must answer three questions of your choosing before you give them the treasure. I suggest your third question is "which is the best circle in the Sierra expedition / world?".
